Should I try to clean up my books before contacting The Bookkeeper?
Definitely not. We have clients who came to us with invoices and receipts in paper bags! Not even the proverbial shoebox! Cleaning up your books is why we are here.
Won’t I lose control if the books are done by an outside service?
In a word, no. Because your books are current (and not caught up at the end of the month or quarter) you actually have greater control because you have accurate, on-time records.
Does The Bookkeeper do payroll?
Yes we do. We can handle it ourselves or work in coordination with your current payroll provider.
What software packages does The Bookkeeper work with?
More often than not, our clients use Quickbooks or Xero. We also work with Netsuite, Sage 50 (formerly Peachtree), AccPac, and a couple of industry-specific packages such as Prophet 21.
Does The Bookkeeper sell accounting software?
As certified Quickbooks Pro Advisors, we can purchase Quickbooks software for our clients at significantly reduced prices. This is true for any Quickbooks product, including desktop, online, enterprise, and point-of-sale.
How much do you charge?
The big question! We offer free 1-hour consultations for potential clients where we can custom-tailor a package specifically for you. Once we have have determined the specific services and needs of your business, we work on either an hourly rate or flat monthly rate depending on the services performed and your preference. While on that subject, our rates are very favorable.
Is my business too small for your service?
Our specialty is small business. Our clients range from sole proprietors to C Corps with 250 employees. Our clients frequently don’t have the workload for a full-time bookkeeper, but don’t have the time or desire to do the books themselves.
How will you use Quickbooks to help my business?
Though we work with a multitude of programs, QuickBooks is, by far, the most popular accounting software in the United States. That is why we are QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisors and offer services including:
